BLUE-BACH

About BLUE-BACH

3 performers – 1 musician and 2 dancers – 30 minutes

Bach’s Cello Suites, here given voice through the deep, sonorous baritone saxophone, become a river: dark and resonant, flowing and shifting, carrying the memory of the original music while opening it into a new theatrical space.

Two dancers inhabit the stage as two shades of blue: one calm and reflective like still water, the other restless and shadowy like deep currents. Together with the baritone saxophone, they create a sensory dialogue between music and movement.

Interwoven with Bach are interludes composed by Adam Clausen, adding contemporary textures and colors to the journey. In BLUE-BACH, sound and movement flow together into a single stream.
